Over the past 2 weeks I’ve only swam (200m intervals mainly) and slept (lots!) so wanted to do something else to satisfy my training itch! Travelled out to a gym called Unit 27 in Chalong in Phuket, Thailand. It was very hot and very humid which I’m not used to so decided on just doing some snatches followed by some power clean and jerks and avoiding any high heart rate conditioning. It was so hot that the chalk turned to paste after mixing with my sweat so it wasn’t ideal but was fun to throw a bit of weight around.
A. Squat snatch:
40,50,60,65,70,75,80kg. Then dropped back to 60kg and hit tng doubles EMOM x 8 mins. All felt good but like I said the heat and sweat made it a bit messy. Enjoyed it though and felt great with no misses.

B. Power clean and jerk:
60,70,80,90,95,100kg. All felt fine, 100kg felt a little heavier than usual but I expected that. Left it there and went back to the pool!
We fly home this Saturday and arrive into Dublin on Sunday morning. Looking forward to getting back into consistent training and eating again.
