8/9- felt really good today. Coached 2 hour long groups then set up a weightlifting simulation for our weightlifting squad for the meet next week. Much more work running the simulation as well as coaching everyone and getting myself ready to lift but it worked well.

Oly meet simulation:

A. Snatches:
Same warm up as last week:
40 x 2 x 3
50 x 2 x 2
60 x 2+1
70 x 2 x 1
75 x 1
80 x 2 x 1

1. 82 (no problem, felt good)
2. 85 (no problem, felt good)
3. 88 (felt best of the three attempts)

Really happy with them and wrist felt ok.

B. Clean&jerks:
Same warm up as last week:
60 x 2 x 1
70 x 2 x 1
80 x 2 x 1
90 x 1
95 x 1
100 x 1

1. 105 (felt good, no problem)
2. 108 (felt good, no problem)
3. 110 (felt good again, really happy with making all attempts)

On the last 2 meet simulations I’ve missed either a snatch or a C&J so to hit all 6 today was a real positive. Definitely has me thinking about starting higher next week in the meet and maybe looking for a C&J PR but I’d be happy to hit today’s numbers as well.

(115,120,122kg PR. Hit a PR double for front squat was a big bonus as well. Finally starting to feel a bit stronger and more confident in the front squat. Middle back and abs feels much more solid coming out of the hole.)
